CREATE ASE DATA FOLDER |
OVERVIEW |
Each ASE project requires a single 'ASE Data' folder. The folder stores all ASE project settings and
data. It must be accessible to all drawings in a given project. This folder
should not be used for any other purpose, such as storing drawings or other
documents. |
NAMING |
The folder may be use any desired name |
LOCATION |
The developers recommend storing the
folder in location that facilitates recognition of the project and drawings
associated with the stored data. However, so long as the location is visible in the data path folder browser, it’s compatible
with ASE Civil. The folder may exist locally on any
drive or on a network location ASE data is currently not accessible
directly from a Cloud storage location. |
ACCESS |
The ASE data folder must be assigned read & write access
universally among all users that will store and reference its data for a
project. |
PROCEDURE |
Use any Windows file browser (Windows Explorer, My Computer,
etc.) to create a folder in which to store data and settings for a project which will use ASE Civil. |
ADVANCED
CONCEPTS |
A project may contain more than one ASE data folder. Various versions
of the vertical design or program settings (e.g., Profile Generator preferences,
Plan Labels II stored styles, etc.)
could potentially be stored in any selected data folder. |
