ASE Alignments
|
Repair
|
2014.07.10
|
The ASE Control Layers preferences dialog will no longer lock
Civil 3D resulting in a forced crash, when the dialog is called but there
are no qualifying layers in the drawing containing valid objects that may
be used for alignment definition. Instead of a lock-up, an error message is
displayed describing the problem and providing a recommendation for
resolving the issue.
|
ASE >> Autodesk Alignments
|
Repair
|
2014.07.10
|
ASE alignments translated to the Civil 3D format will now
include the entire definition, instead of only the first linear segment,
ending at the first arc.
|
ASE Alignments
|
Repair
|
2014.07.10
|
If the ASE alignment definition preferences dialog is called,
but no alignments have yet been defined, the current drawing will be
established as the alignment control drawing and the dialog will display.
Previously during this condition, the dialog would not display and an error
message would be generated. The user would be forced to run another command
to establish the current drawing as the ASE alignment control file before
the definition preferences dialog could be displayed.

Profile Generator
|
Removal
|
2014.07.01
|
The enhancement which automatically creates the drawing file
that may be used to generate the full profile has been disabled. After
additional controls are provided to allow user-specifications, the feature
will be restored.

|
Repair
|
2014.04.22
|
Repaired the “ASE to Autodesk” alignment translation command to
reflect the correct curve directions. Previously, the ASE alignment arcs
segments were being translated incorrectly after Autodesk made an internal
change to the way arcs were handled and/or defined in the program.

Utility System Integration – Phase IIa: A
‘slider’ has been added to the ‘Storm Pipe Properties’ dialog. The new
‘Pattern Scale’ control allows the user to adjust the frequency of the storm
drain hatch pattern located between the pipe walls. Each pipe’s pattern
scale can be controlled independently. The default scale is ‘1’.

|
Enhancement
|

|
Dynamic
Utility System Integration – Phase II: The MAG501 headwall series can be added to a drawing from the ASE
ribbon. After selecting the location for the symbol, the headwall is sized
and oriented in either of following ways:
1) Standalone
Headwalls:
The pipe size to be accommodated is
selected from a dialog which displays the MAG ‘Headwall Dimensions’ Detail
501-2.
2) Snapped
to ASE Storm Drain Pipe Endpoints:
When The user snaps to the end of a
storm drain pipe created with ASE Civil, the headwall is oriented and sized
automatically to fit the pipe. If the pipe is moved, rotated or stretched,
the headwall location and orientation is instantly updated. If the pipe is
resized using the ASE dialog, the headwall is automatically resized to fit
with respect to the MAG specifications.
Note: The
reactive, persistent behavior of the headwalls and pipes can only be
achieved when the items are created from the ASE ribbon. Manual insertion,
drawing or attempting to join headwalls to pipes without using the ASE
ribbon will not yield the expected behavior.
|
Utilities
|
Enhancement
|
2014.01.14
|
Dynamic
Utility System Integration – Phase I: Self-Assembling, Storm drain pipes can now be created by using the mouse to
select the starting and ending pipe locations. Pipe positions and lengths
may be edited via AutoCAD ‘GRIPS’, 'MOVE', 'ROTATE', 'STRETCH' or 'EXTEND'
commands. Pipes are re-sizeable via double-clicking the pipe centerline to
access the ‘Storm Pipe Properties’ dialog. The pipe material and ID may
also be modified from the dialog. The storm drain pipes are fully
dynamic. This means that their appearance is maintained automatically
when edited by the user in any way using standard AutoCAD commands. If a
pipe is moved, rotated, stretched or re-sized, ASE instantly reconstructs
the pipe with respect to its new location, size and/or length. All pipe editing must be performed
on the centerline element. This component of the storm
pipe assembly serves as a link to the pipe's data, which is stored in the
ASE project data folder.
